Big Stone Gap, Va.-Rex Dewayne Begley, 61, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Holston Valley Medical Center.
He was born in Cullman, Ala. and had lived in Big Stone Gap for most of his life. He along with his family had Begley Brothers Construction in Big Stone Gap. Rex loved his family and hanging out with his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Shirley (Eubanks) Begley.
Surviving are his wife, Valerie Begley; daughters, Jennifer Hughes (Steve), Shanna Hughes (BJ) and Maggie Begley (Ryne Brown), all of Big Stone Gap; grandchildren, Ethan Hughes, Raelyn Hughes, Reed Hughes, and Kason “Bugaboo” Hughes; and sister, Rhonda Begley, Big Stone Gap.
