Margaret Ann Yeary Kelly, 83, of Big Stone Gap, passed away peacefully at her home after a long battle with illness on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Ann, as she was affectionately known, was born on September 2nd to the late Jess and Nancy Yeary. She knew no stranger and helped anyone and everyone she could. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Big Stone Gap, The Lady’s Circle, PAWs of SWVA and was a volunteer at the BSG Food Bank.
Ann was a past employee of Big Stone Gap Oil Company where she met many wonderful friends and customers.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Patrick H. Kelly (the love of her life). She was also preceded in death by siblings, George, Sonny, Billy Joe, Kyle, Hazel, Chris and 3 stillborn brothers and sisters.
Ann is survived by her loving children, Lisa A. Kelly-Rose (Mark) and Jonathan W. Kelly (mother of his children, Lisa); grandchildren, Joshua Kelly (Brittany), Patrick Kelly (Amber), Tori Grubb (Tristan) and Zachary Rose; great-grandchildren, Aiden Kelly, Ava Kelly, Averi Grubb and Oliver Kelly; and one special surrogate son, Daniel Maggard. She is also survived by two siblings, Carl Ray Yeary (Ellen) and Rosalee Blanton; a host of special nieces and nephews who she loved dearly and her loving grandpup, Dottie.
Ann will be laid to rest alongside her loving husband in a joint burial at Glencoe Cemetery in a private ceremony for family and friends.
