Church Hill, Tenn.-Glenda Sue Clark, 78, passed away Monday, August 12, 2024, at Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was born in Big Stone Gap, Va., and had lived in Church Hill, Tenn. since 1982. She was a Red Cross volunteer nurse at Bell Ridge Elementary School, a Girl Scout leader for several years, and coached girls softball and tee ball. Glenda’s love of youngsters was unsurpassed. She was of Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Denise Clark; parents, Theodore and Grace (Dickenson) Clarkston; and a sister, Donna Jo Witt.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Mark Clark; three daughters, Deborah Clark, Cornelius, NC, Tamatha Luehrs (Tim, Sr.), Kingsport, Tenn. and Karen Clark, of the home; two grandchildren, Summer Clark and Timothy “T. J.” Luehrs, Jr.; great grandson, Courtland Clark; sister, Frances Rushing, Church Hill; brother, Charles Clarkston, Concord, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
