Glenda Bell "Nan" Robinette

East Stone Gap, Va.-Glenda Bell “Nan” Robinette, 78, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2023. She was born on July 19, 1945 in East Stone Gap, Virginia to Robert David and Thelma Bloomer Bell.
Nan, as she was affectionately known, was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She devoted her life to God, her family, and church, West End Baptist, where she was a Sunday school teacher for over 25 years. She enjoyed many years as a door greeter at Walmart, where she expressed her infectious personality. She loved everyone, and her smile lit up the world.
She was the beloved wife of the late Otis Lee Robinette. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Betty Starnes, Ronald Bell, Wheeler Bell, and Hubert Bell.
She is survived by her daughter Cindy Robinette and son-in-law Matt Bloomer; granddaughters Camilia Robinette Reynolds (Isaiah) and Sarah Bloomer (Hudson—grandson); sisters Louella Benton, Wanda Harless, Bobbie Jean Bell, Barbara Cross (Gene), and Ann Wheeler; several beloved nieces and nephews, as well as family members.
Thank you to Lonesome Pine Hospital and Holston Valley Medical Center for their support in her final days.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm – 3:00pm Monday, January 1, 2024, at West End Baptist Church, 509 Wood Ave., W., Big Stone Gap, Va. The service will follow at 3:00pm with Pastor Josh Tompkins officiating.
Family and friends will meet by 12:50pm Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Lee Memorial Gardens, 1986 Hickory Flats Rd, Pennington Gap, VA 24277, for the 1:00pm graveside service.
Matt Bloomer, Isaiah Reynolds, Tim Bloomer, Keith Harless, Gene Cross and Jensen Bell will be serving as pallbearers.
