Appalachia, VA– Hadley Ray Bozzell passed away Monday, April 30, 2018, at his residence. Mr. Bozzell served in the U.S. Army and attended the First Apostolic Faith Church in Appalachia. He worked in the construction business most of his life. Hadley was preceded in death by his parents, George Washington and Mollie Carter Bozzell, 6 brothers, 2 sisters, 2 step-sons, 2 step-daughters, and 1 great-granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Oakley Bozzell of the home; son, George W. Bozzell, Nashville, TN; daughters, Rebecca Ann Davis, Big Stone Gap, VA, and Crystal O. Rollins, Big Stone Gap, VA; 6 step-daughters; 3 step-sons; and brother, Bobby Bozzell, South Dakota. Also surviving Hadley are 6 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Joe Herron.
Visitation will be held at the First Apostolic Faith Church, 403 Callahan Ave., Appalachia, VA on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00pm. Funeral services will follow with Rev. Johnny Flanary officiating. He will be laid to rest on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Mountain Home National Cemetery, 53 Memorial Avenue, Mountain Home, TN with Military Rites conducted by the VA Honor Guard. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the Mountain Home Cemetery by 12:30pm. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
